My favourite outdoor places for family photoshoots

Hello hello! If you are reading this, it is because you are curious about my favourite places for a family photoshoot. 

I love the mountains, woodlands, the beaches… it is difficult for me to choose an outdoor location, because if I could I would go to all of them in one day, but of course it isn’t possible. So I narrowed the list to what is available for me within a short drive from where my studio is located in Gumpoldskirchen, a little, gorgeous village in Lower Austria, south of Vienna.

Gumpoldskirchen

- Gumpoldskirchen. We have some beautiful vineyards which make the most romantic settings for engagement photography. We also have beautiful views from the top of the village towards the adjacent fields and villages. 

Laxenburg

  Laxenburg Park: I’m pretty sure you have never heard about this place and you know why? Because its off the beaten track, and I honestly do not know why. In my opinion it is just plain beautiful all year round. Laxenburg park used to be a summer retreat for the royal Habsburg family of Austria. There is a gorgeous lake and a dream mini castle in the middle of the lake. All year round, it is enchanting. I often suggest this location for lifestyle family photoshoots as it allows families the freedom as well as the privacy due to the lower amount of tourists visiting the park in comparison to anywhere in Vienna, and guess what? Dogs are allowed on this park (as long as they are on a leash) and since dogs are part of the family, this makes it even more of a perfect place to make a family photoshoot. 

Schönbrunn

Schönbrunn palace gardens. With its manicured gardens, history and architecture, I can also say this is also another one of my absolute favourites. There are always spots where we can hide away from the tourists whilst making beautiful photos with an amazing background and I know many hidden gorgeous locations within the park.
